MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
A $13 million dollar settlement was reached to compensate a 20-year-old man whose severe heart condition was improperly diagnosed and eventually required the young man to undergo a heart transplant. The client did not have any health insurance. While pursuing the case in Court, we also convinced the hospital where he was receiving treatment to perform heart surgery without payment at the time of surgery, which was necessary to keep the client alive. A portion of the settlement provided the client with a medical fund to cover future medical expenses.
CLASS ACTION/TOXIC TORTS
A class fund with available relief of over $40 million dollars was obtained on behalf of a class of thousands of past and current residents against the owner of multiple apartment buildings whose failure to properly maintain the HVAC systems caused mold growth throughout the buildings.
